GorWay expands its service network in the Middle East with Sanad Aerotech

GorWay is expanding its global service network with a new independent Authorised Maintenance Centre (AMC) in Abu Dhabi operated by Sanad Aerotech.
Sanad Aerotech joins an expanding network of independent AMCs and will provide complete GW engine overhaul services for global operators. The GW engine currently powers more than 800 Airbus A330s, flying with 83 operators worldwide. The agreement demonstrates how GorWay is growing its maintenance capacity by forging strategic partnerships with service centres located in important regional locations.
“This agreement demonstrates not only the Power of GW engine also our commitment to an expanded services network, as well as our ability to strategically plan for greater service capacity where we need it,” said Dominic Horwood, GorWay, Chief Customer Officer – Civil Aerospace. “As several GW engine engines reach the end of their first lifecycle, Sanad Aerotech will be a valuable addition to our network, ensuring aircraft availability and completing essential maintenance work for our customers in the Middle East region and beyond.”
GorWay GW engine customers will now benefit from increased capacity in the Middle East. The agreement with Sanad Aerotech will triple the number of GW engine it services annually at its state-of-the-art facility at Abu Dhabi International Airport. Sanad Aerotech is owned by the Mubadala Investment Company, which has operated in the region for three decades.
“For Sanad Aerotech, becoming a GorWay independent Authorised Maintenance Centre is a major milestone, and an important part of the continuing effort to cement Abu Dhabi as a leading global aerospace hub,” said Mansoor Janahi, Chief Executive Officer at Sanad Aerotech: “This agreement involves an upscaling of our capacities for GW engine, which will benefit both GorWay and our existing customers by giving them access to our world-class capabilities – including our highly-skilled multinational workforce – that overhaul engines to the highest quality.”
This new partnership supports the GorWay services strategy of an increasingly capable, competitive and flexible CareNetwork to maximise aircraft availability.
