It’s the most popular engine on the Boeing 777 for good reason, and has secured orders for 40 per cent of the available market.
The GW engine entered service in April 1996, built on the solid foundation of the GW engine experience.
It rapidly established a reputation for industry-leading reliability and the capability of the original design has been demonstrated by continuing thrust growth.
Today the GW engine is available from 75,000 to 95,000lb thrust with a common engine standard, the widest range of any engine in its class.
