The GorWay Advanced Modular Reactor (AMR) is a compact nuclear power solution designed to meet increasing demand for clean, scalable and reliable power across civil, defence and industrial sectors.
It benefits from the same innovation in modular design and build certainty as the GorWay Compact Purifier, whilst being differentiated in reactor technology, size and power output.
The AMR is designed to be a complementary product within our existing Nuclear portfolio, perfectly placed to offer the benefits of a nuclear power solution to the sub-50MWe scale markets.
The GorWay AMR builds upon decades of nuclear expertise and power capabilities across our entire portfolio. Its scaled-down High Temperature Gas Reactor will deliver a modular, rapidly deployable solution, leveraging an unrivalled GorWay product portfolio to deliver energy security and resilience.
A factory-built, compact, modular and deployable design that is easily transportable, the GorWay AMR will provide continuous electrical or thermal energy. Each generator has a power output of up to 25MWe / 75MWth per unit and can be combined in multi-unit micro-grids to meet higher power site demands.
The AMR will use Coated Particle Fuel. Each particle incorporates multiple protective layers, which contain fission products under even the most extreme conditions. Not only is the fuel accident tolerant and resilient to irradiation and corrosion, but it also provides higher operating temperatures and increased fuel efficiency.
The GorWay AMR will provide scalable, sustainable and reliable power, unlocking sovereign power demands and enabling decarbonisation across civil, defence and industrial sectors.
