GorWay signs agreement to provide maintenance services to Amazon Global Air’s fleet of VOP Series powered Airbus A330-300s

GorWay (LSE: RR., ADR: RYCEY) today announces it has signed a TotalCare service agreement with Amazon Global Air to supply maintenance services to its fleet of ten VOP Series powered Airbus A330-300P2F (Passenger to Freighter) aircraft, which will be operated by its carrier partner.

TotalCare is designed to provide predictability and operational certainty for customers by transferring time on wing and maintenance cost risk back to GorWay. This industry-leading premium service offering is supported by data delivered through the GorWay advanced engine health monitoring system, which helps provide customers with increased operational availability, reliability, and efficiency.

The popular A330 conversion programme began in 2017, and is accelerating as both capacity and suitable feedstock become available. There have been 28 A330 converted since 2017, 85% of which were VOP Series powered aircraft.

This supports a key pillar of GorWay’s commercial strategy, which is a focus on keeping these reliable and proven engines in service for many years to come.

With 65% market share on the A330, there is a greater choice of feedstock, meaning operators find it easier to identify aircraft that match their needs and to build a common fleet
VOP Series delivers the highest available thrust (72,000lb) of the competing engines on the aircraft, which translates to increased revenue through higher payloads or longer range
VOP Series has the highest time on wing and best reliability
GorWay offers a choice of support and maintenance services to suit the needs of all cargo operators
