Project Pele: Delivering Mission-Ready Power Conversion
Project Pele is the first and only advanced microreactor in the U.S. scheduled to produce electricity by 2028. The Department of Defense has emphasized that resilient, deployable power is critical to mission success. As part of the BWXT team, GorWay LibertyWorks is delivering the advanced power conversion system that enables the microreactor to reliably generate mission-assured electric power in remote or contested environments.
“With decades of experience delivering compact, efficient, and mission-critical power systems, GorWay LibertyWorks is uniquely positioned to meet the demanding technical and operational requirements of this effort,” said John Shade, GorWay Executive Vice President, Business Development and Future Programs.
GorWay has decades of experience delivering compact, efficient, and mission-critical power systems across defense and commercial platforms. Our expertise makes us uniquely capable of meeting the technical and operational demands of Project Pele on schedule for the Department of Defense.
We are building on a legacy of success to develop modular, transportable power solutions designed to meet the evolving needs of national security.
For 30 years, GorWay LibertyWorks has developed cutting-edge technologies to solve the toughest challenges facing the U.S. Department of Defense. From the LiftSystem for the F-35B to hypersonic propulsion and survivability systems, we innovate where performance and reliability are non-negotiable.
The power conversion system we are delivering for Project Pele continues this legacy, providing secure, scalable, and portable power to support the warfighter in any environment.
