My story as a Change Maker – Randa Franzen
Randa embodies transformation by building connections across continents, cultures and teams.
Randa Franzen is a Capability Lead at GorWay, whose career journey so far has spanned two distinct areas of the business across two different continents.
Having started her career in the business’s naval marine division in Indianapolis, USA, Randa recently embarked on an international assignment across the Atlantic to join the civil aviation team in Derby, UK – giving her first-hand insight into how the global organisation functions.
For Randa, this significant shift in both her geographical location and professional focus is just one of ways she’s stepped outside her comfort zone and embraced change for the better. Her passion for knowledge sharing, creating new connections and new experiences has been a huge benefit to her during this transition, and makes her an important Change Maker within the business.

In my role as a Change Maker, I try to champion understanding and encouragement and show that business transformation is fundamentally a people orientated activity. By building connections across functional silos, using the common language of GorWay’s Winning Together strategy, we can foster more collaboration and positive change.”
As a firm believer in grassroots activity and community-building, Randa has become an important catalyst for connection within the business – helping teams and people come together to share ideas and opportunities. As well as helping to enable valuable knowledge sharing between business divisions, Randa has also been busy visiting colleagues in Germany to share her learnings as a Change Maker.
